Brazilian Cherry Flooring Facts & Features

Brazilian Cherry, also known as Jatoba, is found growing in the vast rainforests of Central America, South America, Peru, Bolivia, and in Brazil. Jatoba comes from the leguminosae family. As a canopy tree it sometimes reaches 80 to 150 feet tall, and most weigh 56 pounds per cubic foot. The large trunk can get as big as six feet in diameter.
