Question by Marie L: Can plank flooring (laminate) be sanded and restained?
A portion of the hardwood floor in our dining room was replaced with laminate planks that don't match. So I have this big rectangular area that's a cherry finish, surrounded by the original oak. I am debating on pulling up the laminate and replacing it with hardwood planks that I can stain to match, or is it possible to sand down the laminate and restain it? I have some experience in sanding wood and staining, but
