I've seen the transition molding they sell with the laminate, but it's really pricey, and I'll need a lot of it. I'm wondering if there is an affordable alternative? Also, will a transition solution be able to protect the ends of the laminate flooring from water? I'm wondering what would keep water from seeping over to the laminate when I mop the tile.

I've used the factory recommended cleaner and it make it dull. I also tried Swiffer cleaner, Murphy's oil soap, Plegde for wood floors. I was wondering if there was anything else- maybe a "home remedy" or a cleaner I haven't tried. Suggestions?

I installed a water line to something and was carrying the PVC cleaner to put it away through my kitchen and there was a little tiny bit of cleaner still left on the can. A few little drops spilled onto my vinyl flooring and now it appears that I'm going to have to replace the whole floor unless I can figure something out. Does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever?

If I do not place units on laminate flooring, I assume I must build up the appliances floor area to match the laminate height otherwise I could not remove the dishwasher for replacement or repair. In this case, what would be the best underlayment for these and other apliances?
